Our bush food products are lovingly grown at Peppermint Ridge Farm in west Gippsland, Victoria, nestled at the doorstep of the Bunyip State Park.
Peppermint Ridge Farm is a family-run business that’s passionate about native Australian plants and sustainability. Owners Julie Weatherhead and Anthony Hooper have grown bush foods and taught classes about sustainable land management for over 20 years. They utilised their backgrounds in education, environmental science, and community development to create a “living classroom” at the Farm and educate others about native Australian plants and organic farming practices. With help from sons Jesse and Chris and daughter-in-law Tara, they currently run regular lunches, dinners, workshops, and events at the Farm featuring native Australian foods (take a look at upcoming events here).
Not to be forgotten, the Farm is also home to many happy free-range chooks and sheep. 🙂
Together with Tara, Julie and Anthony have expanded the Farm’s business to include Peppermint Ridge Native Food, producing a range of native Australian teas and spices. All of Peppermint Ridge Native Food’s bush food products are grown, hand-picked, and packaged with love at the Farm by the family.
At Peppermint Ridge Native Food, our goal is to inspire you to utilise the wonderful and unique flavours of Australian native foods in your everyday life. We believe in a sustainable, healthy lifestyle and never use pesticides or chemicals on our plants.
